To restore the backup (again, make sure all Chrome browser windows are closed), take these steps: Rename your current Bookmarks file to something like Bookmarks.old. Rename your Bookmarks.bak file to just Bookmarks (removing the.bak extension). Open Chrome, and see if you’ve managed to restore.

Alphabetize bookmarks

- Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
- Browse to the folder you want to organize.
- Above your bookmarks, click Organize.
- Click Reorder by Title. Your bookmarks will be listed in alphabetical order.
Delete a bookmark folder
You can delete a bookmark folder at any time. This will delete all of the bookmarks in it and you won’t be able to get them back.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More .
- Click Bookmarks Bookmark Manager.
- Point to the bookmark you want to edit.
- To the right of the bookmark, click the More , to the far right of the bookmark.
- Click Delete. This will permanently delete all the bookmarks in that folder.

- This will open a new window through which you can enter in a new name. Once you enter the desired name click Save.
Use the Bookmarks Manager extension
With the newBookmarks Manager extension, you can see bookmarks as square tiles that you can touch or click to view and organize.
